    Submit a Notice of Project – Tower Crane

    Your site-specific tower crane binder will assist you when you submit a Notice of Project – Tower Crane (NOP-TC). 

    Employers responsible for a crane activity (erecting, climbing, repositioning, or dismantling) at a workplace, as well as the owner or any person engaged by the owner to be the prime contractor, must ensure that a written NOP-TC is submitted to WorkSafeBC at least 2 weeks before the crane activity begins.

    Additionally, a notice containing the required information must be posted at the workplace before the crane activity starts and remain posted for the duration of the activity in accordance with section 14.73.3 of the OHS Regulation.

    Submissions of Notice of Project – Tower Crane (NOP-TC) are to be made to WorkSafeBC using their online submission form.

    When submitting a Submit a Notice of Project form, be sure to choose Tower Crane as the Project Type.

    Provisional Tower Crane Operator Supervision Plan

    For provisional (in-training) tower crane operators, employers are required to have a written supervision plan.
